Langfuse

Open-source LLM observability: traces, evaluations, prompt management and metrics, kept in ClickHouse.

Deplane generates the Langfuse owner's password and shows it once, when the deploy finishes: copy it then, because it cannot be shown again.

Deploy Langfuse

What it needs
4.8 GB of memory (large size), a managed Postgres database, a managed Redis, a managed ClickHouse database, a 5 GB disk at /data. It works in the background, so it needs an app that never sleeps: Hobby or a larger plan, not Free.
After it deploys
Sign in at /auth/sign-in as owner@example.com with the password Deplane showed when the deploy finished. Your organization and project are ready: create an API key in the project's settings and point your SDK's base URL (LANGFUSE_HOST) at this app. Sign-up is off; to add people, set AUTH_DISABLE_SIGNUP to false while they sign up, add them to your organization, then set it back to true. Langfuse sends no email, and so changes no password, until you set SMTP_CONNECTION_URL and EMAIL_FROM_ADDRESS: then sign up with your own address that way, make yourself an owner and remove owner@example.com. After that, remove LANGFUSE_INIT_USER_PASSWORD from the app's Variables, or a deleted owner comes back with it at the next start. Langfuse keeps a copy of every event it receives on the app's 5 GB disk, so watch it as your traffic grows; that storage (SeaweedFS) is reachable only inside the app, so SDK media uploads (images, audio, files) are off. The first start takes a few minutes while the databases are migrated; if the logs say a migration failed, see the Langfuse section of the templates docs. For your own domain, change NEXTAUTH_URL. Needs at least 4.75 GB of plan memory and ClickHouse: the Team or Enterprise plan.

Langfuse is a trademark of its owner. Deplane is not affiliated with or endorsed by it. Deployed from the official Langfuse web and worker images, unmodified, combined in one image with the official SeaweedFS binary (Apache-2.0) as its file storage, and a start script that runs all three; its enterprise features stay off (no licence key is ever set), version 4.72.0.
