# Deplane > Deplane turns a folder of code into a running app at a public URL with one command. Deplane is a platform as a service (PaaS) for deploying web apps, APIs, background workers, cron jobs and Postgres databases. It is an alternative to Vercel, Fly.io, Render, Railway and Heroku. Key facts: - Deploy from a folder (`deplane launch`), from the dashboard, or on every push to a GitHub repository, with a live preview for every pull request (optionally with its own empty Postgres database). First deploys take one to two minutes. - Zero configuration: it detects Node (Next.js, Remix, Express, NestJS and more), Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask), Go, Ruby on Rails, PHP and Laravel, Java and Spring Boot, static sites, or uses a Dockerfile. - Isolation: every app, build and database runs in its own microVM (Kata Containers) with its own kernel, not in containers sharing a kernel with other customers. - Included: HTTPS on every app, custom domains with automatic certificates, managed Postgres 17 with continuous backups and point-in-time restore (7 days on the beta plan, with a second copy on a separate backup server), one-click templates (open-source apps such as Grafana, Linkding, Listmonk and Miniflux, and starters for common stacks), each deployed with its database and disk, workers and cron jobs, encrypted secrets, zero-downtime rollouts, one-step rollback, automatic rollback when errors spike after a deploy, autoscaling on CPU, sleep when idle, live logs, metrics (requests, errors, p95 latency, CPU, memory), alerts to Slack, Discord and webhooks (email is not set up yet), teams with an activity log. - An AI assistant (in beta; it works once the platform operator has set it up) reads an app's real logs, metrics and builds, explains problems and proposes fixes (scale, roll back, redeploy, add a database, worker or domain, restore a database backup); nothing changes until the user confirms, and it never deletes. - For AI tools: an MCP server at /mcp with OAuth (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor connect in a minute; no deletes). For CI: every CLI command supports --json with stable exit codes; scoped CI tokens. - Sign-in uses passkeys and a second factor; there are no passwords. - Infrastructure: our own data centers in Europe (not AWS, Google Cloud or Azure). - Plans: only the free Beta plan exists today. Pro ($15/month) and Team ($99/month) are coming soon and not on sale; there is no trial. Enterprise is by contact sales; dedicated servers and region choice are on the roadmap. The direction is that teams can grow from shared servers to dedicated servers and, on the 2027 roadmap, their own cluster or a private Deplane, without migrating. - Status (October 2026): invite-only beta in Europe; request access at /beta. ## Website - [Home](https://deplane.io/): What Deplane is and everything it includes. - [Templates](https://deplane.io/templates): One-click open-source apps such as Grafana, Linkding, Listmonk and Miniflux, and starters for common stacks, with what each needs and its licence. - [Express template](https://deplane.io/templates/express): A Node.js web server. - [FastAPI template](https://deplane.io/templates/fastapi): Python APIs with interactive docs at /docs. - [Flask template](https://deplane.io/templates/flask): Python, small and simple, served by gunicorn. - [Go template](https://deplane.io/templates/go): One fast binary on the standard library. - [Next.js template](https://deplane.io/templates/nextjs): React with server rendering on Node 22. - [Notes + Postgres template](https://deplane.io/templates/notes): A full-stack Express app with its own managed Postgres database. - [Static site template](https://deplane.io/templates/static): HTML and CSS served by Caddy. - [Grafana template](https://deplane.io/templates/grafana): Dashboards and charts for your metrics and logs. - [Linkding template](https://deplane.io/templates/linkding): A self-hosted bookmark manager. - [Listmonk template](https://deplane.io/templates/listmonk): Newsletters and mailing lists. - [Miniflux template](https://deplane.io/templates/miniflux): A minimalist, fast feed reader. - [Vaultwarden template](https://deplane.io/templates/vaultwarden): A lightweight self-hosted password manager server. - [Gitea template](https://deplane.io/templates/gitea): Git hosting with issues, pull requests and a web UI. - [PocketBase template](https://deplane.io/templates/pocketbase): An open-source backend in one file: database, auth, files and an admin UI. - [Shlink template](https://deplane.io/templates/shlink): A URL shortener with an API and visit stats. - [Meilisearch template](https://deplane.io/templates/meilisearch): A fast search engine API for your app. - [Pricing](https://deplane.io/pricing): Plans, usage prices, instance sizes and a full feature comparison. - [Security](https://deplane.io/security): MicroVM isolation, sign-in, secrets, audit log, patch deadlines and what is still in progress. - [Enterprise](https://deplane.io/enterprise): By contact. Every app always keeps its own address at .deplane.dev. - [Alerts](https://deplane.io/docs/alerts.md): Deplane watches every app around the clock and tells your team when one goes down, returns errors, slows down, or fails to deploy. - [Assistant](https://deplane.io/docs/assistant.md): Ask about your apps in plain words: why a deploy failed, why an app is slow, what changed, what to do next. - [Use Deplane from Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor](https://deplane.io/docs/mcp.md): Connect Deplane to your AI tool once. Then ask it to build and host an app, and it creates, deploys and runs it for you, in your Deplane team. - [Databases](https://deplane.io/docs/databases.md): Managed Postgres 17 next to your apps, backed up continuously, with point-in-time restore. - [Disks](https://deplane.io/docs/disks.md): Give an app a disk whose files stay across deploys and restarts, backed up every night. - [Redis](https://deplane.io/docs/redis.md): A managed Redis for your apps: a cache, a job queue, sessions, rate limits. - [Templates](https://deplane.io/docs/templates.md): Deploy an open-source app or a starter in one click, with the database, Redis and disk it needs. - [Workers and cron jobs](https://deplane.io/docs/workers.md): Run more processes from the same app: workers that run all the time, such as a queue consumer or a bot, and cron jobs that run on a schedule, such as a nightly report. - [Team](https://deplane.io/docs/team.md): Work on your apps together. Everyone signs in with their own passkey, and everything they do appears in Activity with their name. - [Secrets](https://deplane.io/docs/secrets.md): Store API keys, passwords, and other configuration as encrypted secrets that your app reads as environment variables. - [Limits](https://deplane.io/docs/limits.md): Every limit that applies to your apps, builds, and account, in one place. - [Agents, CI, and scripts](https://deplane.io/docs/agents.md): Use Deplane from AI agents, CI pipelines, and scripts with a token, JSON output, and stable exit codes. - [Troubleshooting and error codes](https://deplane.io/docs/errors.md): Fixes for common problems, and every Deplane error code with what it means and how to fix it. - [Security](https://deplane.io/docs/security.md): How Deplane isolates your apps, protects your account, tokens, and secrets, and how to report a vulnerability. - [Reporting abuse](https://deplane.io/docs/abuse.md): How to report an app on Deplane that hosts phishing, malware, spam, or other abuse, and what happens next. - [Acceptable use policy](https://deplane.io/docs/acceptable-use.md): What you may not do with Deplane, how we enforce it, and how to report a breach.
