Acceptable use policy
What you may not do with Deplane, how we enforce it, and how to report a breach.
Draft for review by counsel; not yet in force.
This policy applies to everyone who uses Deplane, and to every app, build, and account on it. "You" means the account holder and anyone using your organization's account or tokens. You are responsible for your apps, including code and content that others provide through them.
Prohibited content
You may not host, send, or link to:
- Content that is illegal where you are, where Deplane operates (the European Union), or where your app's users are.
- Child sexual abuse material, in any form. We report it to the authorities and close the account at once.
- Phishing pages, or pages that pretend to be another person, company, or brand, for example a fake bank login. App names that contain well-known brand names are refused for this reason.
- Malware, including viruses, ransomware, spyware, and the servers that control them.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other rights of others.
- Content that threatens or incites violence, or promotes terrorism.
- Personal data of others that you have no right to process.
Prohibited activities
You may not use Deplane to:
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk email, or run mailing services for others without their consent.
- Mine cryptocurrency.
- Run open proxies, VPN exit nodes, or Tor exit nodes.
- Scan, probe, or attack other systems, including port scanning and vulnerability scanning of systems you do not own.
- Take part in denial-of-service attacks, or send traffic meant to overload any system.
- Get around Deplane's limits, quotas, rate limits, or billing, for example by creating many accounts.
- Try to break out of your app's sandbox, or to reach other customers' apps, Deplane's servers, or Deplane's internal networks.
- Access or try to access accounts, apps, or data that are not yours.
- Resell or rent Deplane to others, or give others access to your account, without our written permission.
- Hide your identity to avoid enforcement, or give false information when you request access.
Security research
- You may test the security of your own apps and your own account.
- You may not test other customers' apps, or Deplane itself beyond your own account, and you may not run denial-of-service tests.
- If you find a vulnerability in Deplane, report it to security@deplane.cloud and give us reasonable time to fix it before you publish it. See Security.
- Stop and tell us if you see someone else's data. Do not keep it or share it.
Enforcement
When we find or are told about a breach of this policy, we may:
- Warn you and ask you to fix it.
- Suspend the app: it runs zero instances and cannot be deployed.
- Suspend the organization: all its apps stop and its tokens stop working.
- Remove content or close the account.
- Keep evidence and report illegal activity to the authorities.
We act at once, without warning, when there is serious harm: child sexual abuse material, active phishing, malware, attacks on others, or a threat to life or safety. Otherwise we usually contact you first.
When we restrict your app or account, we send you a statement of reasons, as the Digital Services Act requires. It says what we did, why, which part of this policy or which law it is based on, and how to appeal. Appeal by emailing support@deplane.cloud. A person reviews every appeal.
Reporting
Report a breach of this policy at https://login.deplane.cloud/abuse or to abuse@deplane.cloud. You can report anonymously. See Reporting abuse.
Changes
We may change this policy. We will tell account holders about important changes by email before they take effect, unless a change is needed at once to stop harm or to follow the law. The version on this page is the one that applies.
